THE ISOM METHOD
European Clinical Osteopathy Program
The European Clinical Osteopathy Program is a progressive training program designed to accompany students from the development of osteopathic fundamentals to an advanced level of clinical autonomy and decision-making.
The program is structured into three phases, each with specific objectives, dedicated content, and teaching materials designed to support the student's theoretical, practical, and professional growth.
By integrating in-person classes, guided practice, clinical video lessons, and professional teaching materials, the program builds real-world skills in osteopathic assessment, manual therapy, and patient management. The goal is not simply to attend a series of courses, but to engage in a structured, coherent training system geared toward real-world clinical practice.
Completion of the planned program will lead to the awarding of a Diploma in Osteopathy compliant with the European standard EN 16686, designed to enhance training built according to European clinical, educational, and ethical standards.
Access to clinical osteopathic training
The first phase represents the entry point into the path and is designed to provide the student with the foundations of the structural osteopathic approach.
In this phase, the initial skills in assessing and treating the musculoskeletal system are developed, with particular attention to the spine, spinal biomechanics, and major joint dysfunctions.
The program is highly practice-oriented and allows you to begin building palpatory sensitivity, manual precision, and confidence in applying techniques. This is an essential step in building a solid foundation and approaching the subsequent phases of the program with greater awareness.
What does this phase include?
-
1 intensive in-person module
-
practical training on the basics of structural osteopathy
-
study of the functional anatomy and biomechanics of the spine
-
Introduction to clinical osteopathic evaluation
Teaching materials included
-
organizational details relating to the lessons
-
information on the teaching materials included
-
useful information for accessing the chosen program
Training output
The student develops initial skills in the assessment and treatment of the spine, improving manual dexterity, palpation sensitivity, and the ability to recognize the main joint dysfunctions.

PHASE 1 – Introduction to Clinical Osteopathy

PHASE 2 – European Diploma in Clinical Osteopathy
Complete and integrated osteopathic training
The second phase represents the heart of the program and defines a complete training in clinical osteopathy.
Students follow a progressive path that integrates the main areas of modern osteopathic practice: structural and biomechanical approaches, the appendicular system, visceral treatment, craniosacral osteopathy, management of pregnant women, pediatric osteopathy, fascial techniques, differential diagnosis, and the clinical approach to more complex conditions. This phase marks the transition from technical learning to real clinical competence.
The student progressively develops autonomy in osteopathic assessment, interpretation of clinical signs and treatment planning, building a more global and professional vision of the patient.
What does this phase include?
-
10 in-person training modules
-
progressive and structured educational path
-
integration between theory, practice and clinical reasoning
-
access to the final diploma compliant with the European standard EN16686
Teaching materials included
-
access to the clinical video lesson library
-
theoretical and practical support contents
-
demonstration of osteopathic techniques
-
analysis of real clinical cases
-
biomechanical and clinical explanations
-
insights into treatment strategies
-
professional teaching materials
-
student kit with t-shirt and accessories
Training output
Through the integration of theory, practice, and clinical practice, students gain increasing autonomy in comprehensive patient assessment, planning structured osteopathic treatment, and managing the therapeutic process responsibly and professionally.

PHASE 3 – Master in Advanced Clinical Osteopathy
Advanced clinical specialization
The third phase represents the most advanced level of the training path and is accessible exclusively to students who have completed the European Diploma in Clinical Osteopathy.
This phase is dedicated to the development of highly specialized clinical skills, with a focus on the management of complex patients, the integration of different body systems, and the evolution of advanced clinical reasoning.
The Master's program is structured into specialized modules designed to refine the therapeutic approach and expand professional skills in highly complex areas, including radicular pain, dizziness, chronic pain, sports, advanced fascial integration, and the management of complex clinical cases.
What does this phase include?
-
6 advanced specialization modules
-
access reserved for those who have completed Phase 2
-
focus on complex clinical cases and decision making
-
development of highly specialized skills
Teaching materials included
-
advanced clinical specialization content
-
in-depth analysis of complex cases
-
training dedicated to the evolution of clinical reasoning
-
access to a higher level of therapeutic integration
Training output
The professional goes beyond the purely technical approach and develops an advanced clinical vision, oriented towards the management of complex and multifactorial conditions and towards greater professional autonomy.
